This is an Extrait de Parfum, launched in 2023. It was created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, with creative direction from couture designer Victor De Souza. It shows. Splendeur Absolu feels dressed. Not stiff. More like someone who can wear black on black and still look like a whole intrigue.
Sweet, Spicy, Luxurious in Tone
The scent opens with Italian bergamot, grapefruit, and rum absolute. Fresh. Bright. Slightly glossy.
Then it warms up. Guatemalan cardamom adds spice. Chocolate adds depth. Driftwood gives a dry, woody edge that keeps the sweetness in check. The base is pure gourmand luxury: Madagascan vanilla, Brazilian tonka bean, New Caledonian sandalwood, and white musk.
