Elizabeth Arden is an American cosmetics companies. The company was founded by the Canadian Florence Nightingale Graham in 1910. Graham chose the name Elizabeth Arden as a pseudonym in his professional life and named his company the same name. Arden was extremely innovative and groundbreaking in the cosmetics and beauty industry and has been recognized as the one who introduced eye makeup as eye shadow and mascara to the American population and that she created the phenomenon "makeover". The company was driven by Arden himself until her death in 1966, but has long been and is still today a mainstay of the American cosmetics industry.
The first perfume was launched in 1934 and renamed Blue Grass. Since then the company has built up a large and varied assortment of perfumes, it is possible to find something for everyone. Blue Grass fragrances aldehyde, garden carnation and Lavender. In addition to the original perfume and a number of independent perfumes, Elizabeth Arden has also launched a number of collections, such as 5th Avenue and Green Tea. The first perfume in 5th Avenue by the same name as the collection was released in 1996 and smells of Linden, Lily of the lake and Lily. Although the main perfume in green tea is named the same as the collection, this perfume was released in 1999 and smells of green tea, lemon and mint.
